Amerikoons is a small, family-run cattery whose goal is to produce healthy, sweet-faced kittens with excellent temperments. My name is Michele Cone and we are located in rural Lebanon, CT, on 5 1/2 acres at the end of a long dirt road. Our kittens are raised in a natural environment and fed Wellness kitten food. Our cattery is FELV & FIV negative and our breeding cats are tested for heart disease. All kittens are sold with a written contract and a health certificate. Pet kittens must be spayed or neutered at 7 to 8 months old. Pet quality kittens cost $700; show/ breeder quality kittens cost $1,200. The kittens are allowed to go to their new homes at 12 weeks of age. We do not ship our kittens.
Well-Socialized Kittens
Our ten year-old daughter, Danielle, and four year-old daughter, Elsie, play a big role in socializing each and every kitten. (Baby Addison does not yet handle kittens.) We 
have a large, extended family. (My husband is one of eight children!) There is always someone coming or going to play with the kittens. We also have a horse (Lola), 2 domestic short-haired cats (Elvis, and Joey), and a large dog (Buck) who loves kittens too. The result has been very confident and very outgoing kittens.
