Fog City's Mekwi of Amerikoons
(Born January 17, 2007) Sire of 3 Beautiful Litters, Clear for HCM gene

Mekwi (the Abenaki Algonquin word for "red") is is an extremely curious and naughty boy! At Fog City, he was always looking for an adventure at the expense of a broken vase, spilled coffee, shredded paper and overall mass destruction! But Tina Dodge says that he was so cute that he was quickly forgiven. Mekwi's type is quite good for a fifth generation Maine Coon (19% foundation lines with less than 8% COI). Mekwi's pedigree has some old Maine Coon lines worth preserving. Moreover he is a mackeral tabby (which is becoming rare). I thank Tina for allowing him to join us.

Amerikoons' Daniel Boone
(born November 6, 2008), breeding in 2010

Daniel Boone (brown classic tabby with white) is the son of Coonyham's Tamalpais Tom of Fogcity (brown classic tabby) and Thunderpaws' Lady Liberty of Amerikoons (brown patched tabby with white).  Boone was a "real chunk" as a kitten and he is HUGE in winter 2009. He is  very handsome with spectacular ears, a strong muzzle and fine expression.  He has been growing and growing as he matures. Boone will be siring Amerikoons kittens in 2010.

 Amerikoons' Evening Shade

Evening Shade (smoke tortoiseshell) is the beautiful daughter of Thunderpaws' Davy Crockett of Amerikoons (cameo classic tabby) and Marala's Shady Brooke of Amerikoons (blacksmoke) and the grand-daughter of Marala's Jezebel II -- both representing the older Maine Coon breeding lines. With her perky ears and sweet-faced muzzle, Eve is as cute as can be. Better yet, she has her maternal line's sunny personality that makes me want to scoop Eve up and hug her (or at least have Eve near me). 

 

Amerikoons' Sunflower

 (born August 22, 2009)

Sunflower (red silver cameo classic tabby) is the daughter of Amerikoons' Evening Shade and Fog City's Mekwi of Amerikoons.  She is a sweet, silly kitten.  Sunflower is very adventurous and loves to climb!  She chirps and trills to get attention and trips me in the kitchen while I'm preparing food...she's a horrible begger!  I just loved the ear placement on this kitten from week 4 and Sunflower has grown into a lovely kitten.  She has her sire's wonderful muzzle and nice bone.  I think Sunflower will produce very pretty kittens for us with our boy, Boone, in 2010.
